We were in a car. It didn't matter who we were. All of our valuables were in the car too. As we spoke they became increasingly less valuable. We were on a great plateau, overlooking a vast landscape that held little promise. A nuclear detonation had occured. We were debating the fallout. How to survive, where to go. Surely the radiation will rot our bones from the inside out. It was like a camping trip.
